Baseball Oshawa player walks away from Blue Jays game with life-long memories

Greyson Halls meets some Blue Jays after winning tickets to game

A trip to an Oshawa Generals became a baseball memory for a Baseball Oshawa player.

Greyson Halls and his family attended Baseball Oshawa night at an Oshawa Generals game in February, and the family was lucky enough to win tickets to a Toronto Blue Jays game.

The big day arrived on the weekend, and the Halls family went to the redesigned Rogers Centre for the Blue Jays and Colorado Rockies game.

The seats were a dream come true, right behind the Jays bullpen. The Halls had a perfect view of the players, so close that Greyson, a member of the 11U A Legionaires, was able to capture pictures and autographs from his favourite players and the backbone of the bullpen — Jordan Romano and Tim Mayza.

Getting to the game early was the perfect plan, as Mayza and Romano were more than happy to spend a few moments with Greyson.

We are proud to have run our House League program for the last three years, one of only two associations in Ontario to have done so. Our all-volunteer team is excited to deliver a fun program in 2024. The goal — as always — is to provide a safe and positive environment in which to instill confidence, promote the benefit of sport, and foster skill improvement. Back for 2024

Baseball Canada's Rally Cap program, in partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays, returns in place of our Tee-Ball programme. The newly-refreshed Rally Cap program enhances players' and coaches' first baseball experience. As a flagship Rally Cap program, we were honoured to be asked to shoot Rally Cap promotional and instructional videos this year; watch the first video here (and on Hockey Night in Canada!), and learn more about Rally Cap.
