On May 26th, Oshawa hosted the MLB Pitch Hit & Run event at Lakeview Park.

Thank you to everyone who came out in the rain to participate and take their shot at competing at the next level at the Rogers Centres. We had baseball and softball players out, making their best efforts.

It's now a waiting game to see if their efforts are enough to move them on to the next level at the Rogers Centre. Last year, Liam Collette of Baseball Oshawa had a great experience and was able to attend Game 2 of the World Series.

Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run is a free event that welcomes boys and girls aged 7 to 14 to showcase their baseball and softball skills. It's a unique opportunity for them to earn a chance to attend and perform during the MLB World Series!

At the PHR event, athletes are tested, and their measurements and skills are recorded. Based on their scores, they have the chance to advance from a local event to a Team Championship held in MLB stadiums. The top scores then qualify for an all-expenses-paid trip for two to compete at the Finals, which are hosted at the World Series.

The following athletes were the Oshawa champions.

Lucas Morrissey
Austin Gougeon
Addison Bazley
Ella Wilson
Carter Damon
Ashlyn Jolicoeur

For players who missed the chance to compete in the Oshawa MLB Pitch, Hit & Run, there are 3 upcoming events in Ontario, including June 15 in Brooklin.
