Baseball Oshawa proudly hosted another successful tournament weekend, with our 18U team and its coaches, players, families, putting on the annual Ted Stone Memorial Tournament.

What a weekend! Beautiful weather, baseball and teams from all over Ontario coming together to play the game they love most! This weekend brought 15 teams of 16, 17 & 18 year old players together to play ball!

A huge congratulations to the 18U coaches, players, families and all that were a part of making this weekend such a success - teams are raving about their experience at the Ted Stone Memorial Tournament!

Our 18U Oshawa Legionaires not only participated in this tournament as players, but they also put the time in convening other games, running concession stands and the main diamond BBQ - really putting a full effort in behind the scenes! THANK YOU!

After pool play was finalized Saturday evening, the standings were as follows:

First Seed: Kendal Eagles

Second Seed: Thornhill Reds

Third Seed: Seaway Surge

Wildcard: Welland Jackfish

After two great semi-final games on Sunday AM, it was the Thornhill Reds versus the Kendal Eagles in the finals!

A HUGE congratulations to the Thornhill Reds for defeating the Kendal Eagles, with a 10-5 win to be named 2023 Champions of the Ted Stone Memorial Tournament.

Great weekend of baseball!

Congratulations to the Thornhill Reds on being the 2023 Ted Stone Memorial Champions!
