Baseball Oshawa family needs a helping hand in time of need

By Jayson DesLauriers 05/17/2024, 3:45pm EDT

One of our own could use your help — whether you can donate now or simply keep this family in your thoughts and prayers!

Baseball Oshawa coach Jayson DesLauriers has organized a GoFundMe to support a family with a life-altering medical emergency.

Love for Lukas — GoFundMe campaign

As many of you already know, the Greco family is dealing with an unimaginable situation after their youngest son, Lukas, sustained a life-threatening brain bleed this past weekend. He was rushed to Sick Kids and had surgery early on Saturday morning. With likely more surgeries ahead, it will be a while before the family can all be at home together.

Lukas is an athletic 14-year-old who loves baseball and golf. He’s a fun younger brother to Nolan (Oshawa Legionaires) and a friend to many! He volunteers with Challengers Baseball and loves to give his time to others.

Now it’s our turn to give back to him and his family!

The GoFundMe account will help cover family expenses.

There is also a fundraising walk on Saturday, May 18, in Brooklin.

Welcome to the 2024 Baseball Oshawa House League season

By Baseball Oshawa 05/17/2024, 3:00pm EDT

Welcome to the 2024 House League Baseball Oshawa season!

We have another exciting season planned and wanted to share a quick update about the season's start next week.

You should hear from your team's coach or manager with details about the season before Monday evening (May 20).

You should have received an email from the association explaining how to access the SportsEngine app to receive updates about Baseball Oshawa events, practices and games.

You should now be able to see your teams in the sports engine app. Please ensure you are using the registration email. If you do not see your team please delete the app and then download again. If it is still not visible and you have done the above, please email bruce.froude@baseballoshawa.com for technical assistance.

If you have yet to receive an email, you must check the junk or spam folders of the account you used for registration. If you still can't find it, please email houseleague@baseballoshawa.com for assistance.

See you on the diamonds next week.
