The Legionaires snagged a late lead and defeated Vaughan 9-2 on Thursday. The game was tied at two with the Legionaires batting in the bottom of the fifth when Wesley Drew a walk, scoring one run.
In the first inning, Vaughan got their offense started. Julian Grounded out, scoring one run. The Legionaires notched four runs in the sixth inning. Oshawa's big bats in the inning were led by doubles from Zach, Joe and Matty.
Willy toed the rubber for the Legionaires. The righthander went four innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out 6 and walking one. Matthew was the starting pitcher for Vaughan. He went one inning, allowing no runs on one hit, striking out one without allowing a walk.
The Legionaires collected nine hits on the day. Joe and Nathan each racked up multiple hits for Oshawa, with two a piece. The Legionaires didn't commit a single error in the field. Nathan had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
