After a week of interviews, Baseball Oshawa proudly announces the 2025 Tier 1 Rep coaches!
Baseball Oshawa will offer its competitive, development-focused Rep program in 2025 and looks forward to seeing a great turnout of returning and new players.
We will hold additional tryouts for many age groups and announce the coaches of any Tier 2 teams as soon as possible. While Baseball Oshawa plans to field Tier 2 teams in many of its divisions, the official decision will be determined following the first tryout date for each age group.
Having already worked with various Baseball Oshawa teams, Jeff is eager to share his love of the sport with these young athletes as a Head Coach within our Rep program! Jeff enjoys developing players and working with them to become the best versions of themselves, including the importance of overall fitness and creating good work ethics in order to achieve a goal. Jeff is an avid fitness enthusiast; when he's not at the diamond, he's with family! The goal for the 2025 season is to help players improve and learn to love the game.
Peter returns to work with this group for the 2025 season! His primary focus from the beginning has been on player development - ensuring each player has the fundamental skills needed to become an effective baseball player while enjoying the process it takes to get there. Peter believes in the development process, including the time and commitment to understand the players: their personalities, their temperament, their strengths, their weaknesses and their drive. Peter's goal for this team, and the 2025 season, is to continue to cultivate an environment that supports player development long-term while instilling a culture of hard work, sportsmanship and love for the game.
Hubie returns as the Head Coach of this group - a great communicator, teacher and student of the game. With extensive experience on the field, including time in the Dominican Republic and Japan, and experience with the Canadian Women's National Softball team, Hubie's goals for the 2025 season are to create a positive and progressive learning environment. He looks for attitude and effort, seeing players improve athletically and mentally. Every player will be expected to show up each day with a positive attitude and a high level of self-motivation!
This will be Andy's fourth season with this team and sixth as a coach within our Rep program; Andy has the experience and dedication to take them into the 2025 season! With a strong focus on development, Andy has led this group through a successful 2024 season, and looks to continue to strengthen both player abilities and love for the game! The goal for the 2025 season will include a focusing on the skill and development of every player, what it means to be a good teammate and leader, and having a memory-making experience through all of it! Each player will improve in all aspects of the game. The team will see success both on and off the field!
Daryl has extensive experience as a coach within the Baseball Oshawa Association and brings passion and dedication to any team he is a part of! His goal for this team and the 2025 season is to continue to help players grow, both on and off the field! That includes player development, sportsmanship, and love for the game.
Ryan has been committed to this group through four seasons and is ready to lead them into the 2025 season! As a Baseball Oshawa alum and Team of the Century member, Ryan wishes to share his love, passion, loyalty and knowledge with this group as they prepare for this next phase in their baseball careers! His goal as a coach is to continue the development of these players through their fundamentals and introduce more strength and conditioning for them to become stronger athletes, again, with the look ahead to high school athletics. Arm care and pitching will be an important focus for this team this season.
We are excited to have Dave leading this group into the 2025 season! With a wealth of experience coaching and in education, players under Dave's direction are well-served and led when it comes to their own mental health and development. Dave strives to build a team atmosphere, wherein communication is of the utmost importance, including expectations and plans - players and their families are a part of the team family, and important cogs in the wheel of development. Dave's goal for the coming season is to build confidence in players as they develop their skills, having a lot of fun along the way!
We are excited to have Adam leading this group into the 2025 season! Adam's goal is to ensure players feel like they belong while realizing their potential. This group will continue to focus on building their fundamentals while working to come together as a whole unit and work as a team, both on and off the field.
Adrian returns as Head Coach of this team for the 2025 season. With extensive knowledge of the game, great rapport with players of this division and a significant background as an official of the game, Adrian is the best person to lead this team. The goal for the 2025 season continues to focus on players developing their abilities while enjoying their time on the field, and as a team.
Jamie is no stranger to the Legionaires program, having grown up in the Oshawa Rep program and later coached with the Oshawa Elite program at 15U, 16U, and 18U. Jamie returns as Head Coach of this group after back-to-back seasons as EOBA Champions, with the obvious goal of taking a run at another National Championship!
