Congratulations to these five Baseball Oshawa 18U Legionaires!

These graduating players received the Dr. Gordon Rae Vail bursary from the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43.

The awards are presented in honour of Dr. Vail, who passed away in 2019. He never forgot that the Legion presented him with a bursary when he was a young man and an Oshawa Legion Minor Baseball Association player. Dr. Vail's family established a bursary to assist 5 high school graduates further their education. 

This year OLMBA players (front left to right) Scott Rodrigue, Nate Marshall, Michael Quick, Tristan DesLauriers and Ishaan Persaud were recognized before they headed to post-secondary schools. Family members joined the players for the presentation at the Legion hall.

Dr. Greg Vail
