Oshawa will play in the Kevin Siddall memorial tournament and donate money to charity in his name

The Baseball Oshawa 10U AAA Legionaires had three special guests on Tuesday, June 7th.

The team had front-line workers Danielle Timms (YMCA Childcare Supervisor), Heather Dalton (Durham Regional Police officer), and Erin Kitching (Registered Practical Nurse) throw out the first pitches for a game against the Pickering Red Sox at Durham College.

We at Baseball Oshawa thank these fantastic people for their dedication and work ethic during this pandemic. THANK YOU!

The team came up with a win for the special guests.

The team is proud to announce donating $600 it raised this season to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwestern Ontario. The official donation will be made when the team is in Windsor for the Kevin Siddall Invitational beginning Friday night.

Kevin Siddall and his family are a big part of our Windsor Stars Baseball organization. Kevin played ball from age 4 until he was diagnosed with lymphoma at age 14. Kevin, son of Blue Jays announcer Joe Siddall, lost his battle with cancer in 2014.

In honour of Kevin, the Windsor Stars Baseball family is hosting an annual Kevin Siddall Invitational  Baseball Tournament.

Funds from this tournament will support two charities; We Care for Kids, Childcan and Ronald McDonald House. All of these groups supported Kevin and his family through their fight. Thanks to a generous donation, all players and coaches will wear the same green hat to honour Kevin and others faced with similar battles this year.
