Hats off to a couple of conscientious Legionaires

Last weekend's wicked storm impacted many people across the province, and a few of our teams were on the field on Saturday, May 21.
One was the 10U AAA Legionaires team, which was in Vaughan for a tournament when the storm hit.
During the break and post-storm, two boys and one of the coaches headed to Bass Pro Shop. Unfortunately, it was closed, but they waited to see if it would open.
During that time, the boys started picking up some debris and garbage that had fallen and been blown around during the storm.
The manager of Bass Pro Shop in our host city recognized the boys for their good deed ( even gave them some fudge, lol).
All of our coaches are amazing at teaching our kids sportsmanship and teaching them to do the right thing off the field. Always clean up after yourself and the area, even if you didn't make the mess. This lesson was noted today by someone outside our organization and made us proud of these young Legionaires, Jacob Giorgio-Colburn and Brody Nicholson.
I wanted to note the fantastic job Coach Daryl and his team of coaches, Colin, Ryan, Josh and Paul, do week after week.

Earlier this year the Oshawa 10U AAA Legionaires got to meet and chat with Sportsnet personality Ken Reid.
