The Oshawa Legionaires 10U, A team, faced a year of challenge and growth in 2021.  It was a year of overcoming obstacles and learning to train and grow together as a team and as individuals.
At times, it was a year of defeat and frustration, but it became one of skill development, team building, some fantastic wins, and even some laughs as the season progressed. The boys learned over this season to start to work as a team.  Technically, the boys learned to pitch this year.
They learned about balance, stamina and agility, but they knew so much more than that.  They learned lessons this year that far surpass applicability to baseball.  They discovered that their team could not just celebrate wins but also stand by each other in the tough losses.
They learned to support one another, lift each other up, and have each other's back, both on the field and off.  They learned that they need to think as a team, perform as a team and trust each other.
The amount of growth this team displayed over the season, individually and together, will continue to drive them towards success in their upcoming 2022 season.
This team started out as 12 boys who had lost so much time to lockdowns and things outside of their control, but they ended their season knowing that they were members of a team who all need each other and who are in full control of their baseball dreams.
