Legionaires Alum Carter Arbuthnot signs with IBL Kitchener Panthers

Oshawa Legionaires Elite alum Carter Arbuthnot signs to play this summer with the Kitchener Panthers of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL).  

The talented player is coming off an outstanding freshman college season at Erie College in Buffalo, New York, where he batted .361 while leading the team with 40 rbi and tying for 2nd on the team in HR WITH 6. Of note Arbuthnot posted an incredible 4 HR 10 RBI in a DH this past Juco season.

The Panthers expect Carter to play outfield for the 13 time IBL Champion Panthers. Baseball Oshawa is extremely proud of all its grads and wishes Carter all the best this summer in the IBL.  

The Intercounty Baseball League is the top-level baseball league in Canada, boasting ex-major league professional and elite NCAA college baseball players. The 2021 season will mark the 103rd season of the Intercounty Baseball League.

The IBL is the fifth-longest continually operated baseball league in the world and serves as a valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 40 Intercounty Baseball League players have advanced to Major League Baseball or returned to the IBL following their MLB careers, including Fergie Jenkins, John Axford, Chris Leroux, Scott Diamond, Peter Orr, Paul Spoljaric, Rich Butler, Rob Butler, and Rob Ducey.
