It was an emotional ceremony on Saturday, October, 10 as Emergency Medical Services members and Durham Regional Police Officers participated in a special event prior to the 15U Legionaires final game of the season at Kinsmen Stadium.

The first responders were honoured for their duty on the night of the Traynor family tragedy. The men and women who responded to the house that night had the opportunity to meet with Loretta and her surviving son Sam.

The officers and EMS staff members spent time with the Traynors, who thanked the men and women for their actions on the night when Coach Chris, Joseph, Adelaide and Bradley were killed.
