Special message from Baseball Oshawa President Ken Babcock on the tragic deaths of the Traynor family members

We all learned on Friday of the terrible news surrounding one of our baseball families. Baseball Oshawa collectively is one big supportive family.  Words cannot describe the shocking and senseless tragedy that has struck our wonderful community in Oshawa and impacted our collective baseball family.
The Traynor family was heavily involved in the community and that included Chris coaching for many years in our Baseball Oshawa House League and more recently this year with our Oshawa Legionaires 12U Rep team. His son Joseph was a member of that same team led by Coach Weatherbee.
Chris and Loretta's older boys Sam and Bradley played ball for many years with Baseball Oshawa.  We pray for Loretta's speedy recovery and Sam's well being.  (A GoFundMe account has been established for them.)
On behalf of Baseball Oshawa's Board, Executive, Coaches, players and families I wish to extend the most sincere and heartfelt prayers to the entire Traynor family (Chris, Loretta, Bradley, Sam, Adelaide and Joseph) and to all those affected by this horrible tragedy. The Association has also reached out to Coach Weatherbee and the players, coaches and parents on our 12U rep team to provide support. We will also continue to seek out appropriate ways to lend help and support to the Traynor family in the days, weeks and months ahead.

God bless,
Ken Babcock
President, Baseball Oshawa OLMBA
