At this time, Baseball ONTARIO is still planning to move forward with a season for the 2020 year.

Plans are being worked on to determine what safeguards will need to be put in place at various levels of competition.

In Oshawa, our executive has formulated our own plans for what we envision the return to play will look like for the rep and house league levels. We will obviously be adhering to the guidelines set out by Baseball Ontario and the provincial government when play resumes.

We’ve also taken steps at this time to prepare for the 2020 season from a logistical standpoint in terms of getting equipment and uniforms prepared for the teams at both rep and house league levels.

In addition, registration for the season is still open on our website. Given the province had announced that batting cages are open as of May 31 and that other provinces in the country have resumed play, we expect that there will be a season in 2020.

Multiple states in the USA, including those that have been severely impacted by the pandemic have also returned to play, with some even hosting tournaments of 70 teams.

Should you wish to withdraw from the anticipated 2020 season, the typical format for refunding would apply. If we are forced to cancel the season by the province, we would issue refunds to all registrants at that time.
