As an organization we know how hard it is to honour volunteers and being recognized in this manner is truly an honour. Baseball Oshawa has been blessed to have many awesome volunteers and every year we pay tribute by choosing a Volunteer of the Year. It's not an easy task and we consider numerous people every season.

In 2019, Scott Dennis was named the Volunteer of the Year and was presented this prestigious award by Baseball Oshawa President Babcock.

This month the Canadian Baseball Network announced the 2019 Most Influential Canadians in Baseball and leading the way is former Major League Baseball star Larry Walker, who was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame last week.

The man behind the Canadian Baseball Network is Bob Elliott, who was spotted at Kinsmen Stadium numerous times this summer. He is the Godfather of baseball writers in Canada and came away from his time in Oshawa impressed by our organization.

Elliott listed his Top 100 and in his honourable mentions he named Babcock and Lutton. Thanks for all you for the association, Ken and Jim!
