As we head into 2020 it offers a chance to look back at a successful 2019.

Baseball Oshawa President Ken Babcock is proud of the work every volunteer contributed to this  memorable season.

From our Learn To Play sessions at the Oshawa Civic to our umpire training to opening day of the house league season to hosting the 2019 15U National Championships to being named the Eastern Ontario Baseball Association top association to winning the Junior National title, all of these milestones made our 70th year the best ever!

More than 200 people volunteered in some way this summer and we couldn't have done it without them.

We had moms, dads, siblings helping coach and manage teams at all levels of the association.

"Volunteers are the driving force behind making Baseball Oshawa the best in the province," said Babcock. "We couldn't create smiles and memories if it weren't for the people who generously give their time to the kids."

Babcock said the work done to host the 15 National Championships was of particular note. If we couldn't win the title, having Whitby take it was the next best thing.

"I wanted to take time to thank the outstanding army of volunteers that helped us host two of the best Baseball Canada 15U National Championships ever!!!," added Babcock.

Thanks to everyone for making 2019 our best ever and we can't wait to top it in 2020!
