WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU NEED FOR HOUSE LEAGUE

Baseball Oshawa will provide a great uniform top and team hat for each House League player.  Along with bats and full team catcher's equipment.  Uniforms will include major league team names with matching team Baseball Oshawa hats. ie. Red Sox, Orioles, Nationals etc. Please find below what your child will need:

Helmet (CSA approved) with chin strap. Recommended Rawlings Cool Flo One size fits all helmet. Model CFBH.  Best deals and availability at Play it Again sports (Whitby location in the Kendalwood Plaza) and Walmart Oshawa. Approx. $19 each and will last your child for a few years.

Glove that is suitable for the level of play. Easy to flex fingers, especially for younger players.  Best deals and availability at Play it Again Sports (Whitby location) and Walmart Oshawa.

Grey Ball Pants that are available under a special discount with Play it Again Sports (special pricing for all Oshawa Minor Baseball Players).  Just mention when at the store. Belts are optional but you can purchase one in your team colour at any local sports store.  After two years of feedback from parents and the problem faced with trying to size 400 players properly and cost effectively with pants, we held registration fees from an increase and now players will look after their own pants beginning this year. Which will insure accurate sizing and fitting for the players as well as keeping the fees as low as possible.  While at the same time insuring the child is not tripping over their pants any longer.  Pants will also last a couple years at least.  We have arranged for a great deal at Play it Again Sports for grey baseball pants. If you have grey pants from last year or already have some, then you are all set.

Optional:

Cleats are recommended but not necessary, especially at the tee ball levels and coach pitch levels. Best deals and availability at Play it Again Sports (Whitby) and Walmart Oshawa.

Bats are provided by the association and it is not required for players to have their own.  However, players can purchase their own if you choose. Please insure it is examined by your coach to insure it can be sued in game action. Bats for House League play Peewee and below are metal. Bantam and above are wood bats.
